The residue was dissolved in DCM (100 mL) and washed with H2O (50 mL) and brine (50 mL) . The organic layer was dried over Na2SO4 filtered and concentrated. The residue was purified by preparative TLC (PE/EA 3/1) to yield a off white solid of 5-bromo-4-fluoropyridin-2-amine (0.3 g 1.319 mmol 32.7yield) 1HNMR(400 MHz CDCl3) δ 8.11 (d J 9.6 Hz 1H) 6.26 (d J 10.0 Hz 1H) 4.55 (brs 2H) ES-LCMS m/z 192.9 (M+H)
