Recombinant Mouse LIF is a tag-free recombinant protein derived from mouse and expressed in E. coli. Belonging to the LIF/OSM family, it is a secretory protein also known as murine leukemia inhibitory factor. This protein is involved in multiple physiological processes including development, hematopoiesis, bone metabolism, and inflammation. It can induce terminal differentiation of leukemia cells, promote hematopoietic differentiation of both normal and myeloid leukemia cells, support neuronal cell differentiation, and stimulate acute-phase protein synthesis in hepatocytes.

Synonyms: Recombinant Mouse LIF; Leukemia inhibitory factor; Differentiation-stimulating factor

Biological Activity

Description
Mouse Leukemia inhibitory factor(lif)is a secreted protein which belongs to the LIF/OSM family.LIF has been implicated in a many physiological processes including development, hematopoiesis, bone metabolism, and inflammation. it has the capacity to induce terminal differentiation in leukemic cells. Its activities include the induction of hematopoietic differentiation in normal and myeloid leukemia cells, the induction of neuronal cell differentiation, and the stimulation of acute-phase protein synthesis in hepatocytes.
