The Chemerin Receptor (also known as ChemR23 or CMKLR1) is a member of the G protein-coupled receptor (GPCR) family, with seven transmembrane domains. It primarily binds to the endogenous ligand Chemerin and participates in inflammation, immune regulation, and fat metabolism. The Chemerin Receptor is expressed in various cell types, including immune cells (such as macrophages and dendritic cells) and adipocytes. Its activation through the Gi/o protein signaling pathway regulates intracellular signaling. The tissue-specific expression and mutations of the Chemerin Receptor gene are associated with the development and progression of various diseases, including inflammatory diseases, obesity, and metabolic syndrome.
