Biological Activity

Description
Pyroxamide is a robust inhibitor of histone deacetylase 1 (HDAC1), exhibiting an IC50 of 100 nM. It has the capability to induce apoptosis and cell cycle arrest in leukemia[1].

In Vitro:

Cell Line
Concentration Treated Time Description References
Cumulus-oocyte complexes (COCs) 2.5 µM 24 hours To investigate the effect of HDAC1 on cumulus expansion and oocyte maturation, it was found that inhibition of HDAC1 significantly inhibited cumulus expansion and oocyte maturation. Biology (Basel). 2022 Oct 6;11(10):1464
Granulosa cells 2.5 µM 48 hours To investigate the role of HDAC1 in granulosa cells, it was found that inhibition of HDAC1 down-regulated the expression of EREG protein, while the levels of AREG and BTC proteins remained unchanged. Biology (Basel). 2022 Oct 6;11(10):1464

Dissolving Methods
Please choose the appropriate dissolution scheme according to your animal administration guide.For the following dissolution schemes, clear stock solution should be prepared according to in vitro experiments, and then cosolvent should be added in turn:

in order to ensure the reliability of the experimental results, the clarified stock solution can be properly preserved according to the storage conditions; The working fluid for in vivo experiment is recommended to be prepared now and used on the same day;

The percentage shown in front of the following solvent refers to the volume ratio of the solvent in the final solution; If precipitation or precipitation occurs in the preparation process, it can be assisted by heating and/or ultrasound.
