MAP4K6 (Mitogen-Activated Protein Kinase Kinase Kinase Kinase 6), also known as MINK1 (misshapen/NIKs-related kinase 1), is a member of the MAP kinase kinase kinase kinase family. It consists of a kinase domain and multiple leucine zipper domains, primarily located in the cytoplasm. MAP4K6 plays a crucial role in regulating cell cytoskeleton reorganization, cell migration, and cell signaling, influencing cell stress response and survival by activating the JNK and p38 MAPK signaling pathways. The expression of MAP4K6 is specific in different tissues and cells, and mutations or dysregulation in its gene expression are associated with neurological disorders and cancer.
