35% With tetrakis(triphenylphosphine) palladium(0); In 1,4-dioxane; at 90℃; for 16h;Inert atmosphere; A mixture of 2,5-dibromo-4-methylpyridine (0.60 g, 2.39 mmol), <strong>[145214-05-7]2-(tributylstannyl)-1,3-oxazole</strong> (1.02 g, 2.86 mmol), and Pd(PPh3)4 (276.32 mg, 0.23 mmol) in dioxane (15 mL) was heated at 90 C. under nitrogen. After 16 h, the mixture was concentrated under vacuum, and the resulting residue was purified by flash column chromatography (1:3 ethyl acetate/petroleum ether) to afford 5-bromo-4-methyl-2-(1,3-oxazol-2-yl)pyridine (0.20 g, 35%) as a light yellow solid. LCMS (ESI) [M+H]+=239.0.
33% With tetrakis(triphenylphosphine) palladium(0); In 1,4-dioxane; at 90℃; for 16h; A mixture of 2,5-dibromo-4-methylpyridine (1.2 g, 4.78 mmol), <strong>[145214-05-7]2-(tributylstannyl)-1,3-oxazole</strong> (2.06 g, 5.75 mmol) and tetrakis(triphenylphosphine)palladium (552 mg, 0.48 mmol) in 1,4-dioxane (30 mL) was stirred for 16 hours at 90 C. After filtration, the filtrate was concentrated under vacuum. The residue was purified on a silica gel column eluted with ethyl acetate/petroleum ether (1/2) to afford 5-bromo-4-methyl-2-(1,3-oxazol-2-yl)pyridine (380 mg, 33%) as a light yellow solid. LCMS (ESI) [M+H+]=241.1.
