With hydrogen;Rh/PtO2; In methanol; B: Piperidine-3,5-dicarboxylic acid dimethyl ester Pyridine-3,5-dicarboxylic acid dimethyl ester (5.3 g, 27 mmol) and Rh/PtO2 (0.5 g) in MeOH (200 mL) are stirred under hydrogen overnight. The resulting mixture is filtered and the solvents are evaporated to give a brown oil. MS (LC-MS): 202 [M+H]+
