Latrepirdine dihydrochloride is a neuroactive compound with antagonistic activity against histaminergic, α-adrenergic, and serotonergic receptors. Latrepirdine stimulates the degradation metabolism of amyloid precursor protein (APP) and the secretion of β-amyloid (Aβ).
