Omaveloxolone (RTA 408) is an antioxidant inflammation modulator (AIM) that activates Nrf2 and suppresses nitric oxide (NO). It attenuates osteoclastogenesis by inhibiting STING-dependent NF-κB signaling.

Results showed that JM17 at low doses (less than 5 µM) still had better antioxidant ability compared to other Nrf2 activators and specifically increased mitochondrial superoxide dismutase 2 (SOD2).
