YieldReaction ConditionsOperation in experiment
97% With cetyltrimethylammonim bromide; In water; at 20℃; for 1h;Green chemistry; General procedure: To a 100-mL round-bottom flask containing (40 mL) of distilled water, wereadded CTAB or CPB (10 mmol%) and stirred at room temperature. To this mixture1- dodecanethiol (0.35 g, 1.56 mmol) was added in one portion, followed byN-phenylmaleimide (1) (0.3 g, 1.56 mmol) added portionwise. Stirring was continuedfor an additional 1 h at room temperature. As the reaction completed (monitoredby thin-layer chromatography, TLC) the precipitated product was collected by vacuumfiltration and dried at room temperature. Thereafter it was crystallized fromethanol / ethyl acetate as a white crystalline solid.
