Yield	Reaction Conditions	Operation in experiment
	With sodium hydroxide; PPA; In dichloromethane; water;	Preparation 163 4-(2-Benzoxazolyl)piperidine A mixture of 2-aminophenol (20 g, 183 mmol), isonipecotic acid (23.7 g, 1 mol. equiv.) and polyphosphoric acid (50 ml) was heated together for 2 hours with stirring. The reaction mixture was cooled, poured onto ice (400 g) and solid sodium hydroxide (85 g) added until the solution achieved pH8. The solid was filtered off, slurried in water (500 ml) and filtered to give the title compound (4.5 g). A second crop of the title compound was obtained by extracting the above filtrate with dichloromethane (4*200 ml). The combined organic extracts were dried using anhydrous magnesium sulphate, filtered and the solvent removed from the filtrate under reduced pressure to give the title compound (9 g). 1 H-NMR (CDCl3):delta=1.9-2.1 (m,3H), 2.15-2.3(m,2H), 2.8-2.9(m,2H), 3.1-3.3(m,3H), 7.3-7.35(m,2H), 7.5-7.55(m, 1H), 7.7-7.75(m,1H) ppm.
	With PPA; In water;	INVENTIVE EXAMPLE 15 2-(4-Piperidyl)benzoxazole 2-Aminophenol (200 mg) and 4-piperidinecarboxylic acid (236 mg) were mixed with polyphosphoric acid (1 g) and stirred with heating at 180 C. for 2 hours. After cooling to room temperature, the reaction was stopped by adding water. The filtrate was adjusted to pH 12 with 50% potassium hydroxide aqueous solution and then extracted with methylene chloride. The organic layer was washed with saturated brine and dried with magnesium sulfate, and then the solvent was evaporated under a reduced pressure to obtain the title compound 2-(4-piperidyl)benzoxazole (311.5 mg).
	With phosphoric acid; at 180℃; for 2h;	0.45mol O-amino phenol and 0.45mol4-piperidine carboxylic acid is added to 25g in poly-phosphoric acid, the temperature is increased to 180 C, stirring reaction 2h, after the reaction liquid-cooled but, in reverse into the water, filtering, the filtrate concentrated potassium hydroxide to adjust the pH value is 12, dichloromethane is used for extraction, the organic layer with anhydrous magnesium sulfate drying, to remove the solvent, get strawcoloured solid 2 - (piperidin-4-yl) benzo [d] oxazole, melting point: 110-112C.
