Description
ES9-17 is a derivative of ES9 (endosidin9), an inhibitor of clathrin heavy chain (CHC). ES9-17 acts as an inhibitor of clathrin-mediated endocytosis (CME), a primary pathway for internalizing plasma membrane proteins and molecules from the extracellular environment in plants. ES9-17 impedes the uptake of transferrin and FM4-64 and also hinders the root growth of Arabidopsis seedlings[1][2].
