YieldReaction ConditionsOperation in experiment
63.7% Carbon disulfide (207.4 mg, 2.72 mmol) was added to a mixture of KOH (153 mg, 2.72 mmol) in EtOH (2.0 mL) and water (0.50 mL). The reaction mixture was stirred at 120 C for 15 mm. Then compound 3 (250 mg, 2.27 mmol) was added. The reaction mixture was stirred under microwave irradiation at 130 C for 15 mm and then cooled to r.t. The reaction mixture was diluted with H20 (10.0 mL), adjusted to pH = 5 with HOAc, and cooled to 0 C. The solid wascollected by filtration and dried under reduced pressure to give compound 2 (220 mg, 63.7%) as a yellow solid. ?H NMR (400 MI-Tz, DMSO-d6) 5 13.50 (s, 1H), 13.01 (s, 1H), 8.67 (s, 1H), 8.42 (s, 1H).
