3. General procedure for cross-coupling of lignin β-O-4 models
General procedure: the lignin β-O-4 model compound (0.25 mmol), Pd/C (10 mol%, 10 wt%, 27 mg), HCOONa (1.25 mmol, 85 mg) were added into the 20 mL pressure tube, and then evacuated and backfilled with argon. Toluene (1 mL) and amine (0.5 mmol) were subsequently added into the reaction tube. After that, the reaction tube was placed in an oil bath and stirred at 150 for 12 h. After reaction was completed, the reaction mixture was cooled to room temperature. Ethyl acetate (3 mL) was added into the reaction tube with stirring. The liquid phase was filtered and then concentrated in vacuo. Internal standard dibromomethane (CH2Br2) was added to the resulting crude product and the yield was calculated by 1 H NMR. |
