YieldReaction ConditionsOperation in experiment
79.2% at -78 - 20℃; Inert atmosphere The above 2-fluoro-4-bromo-N-methoxy-N-methylbenzamide (3)(118.8 mmol) was charged to a reaction flask, 150 ml of anhydrous THF was added, and the mixture was further purged with nitrogen,At -78 ° C, 100 mL of a 2 M solution of isopropylmagnesium bromide in tetrahydrofuran was slowly added. After the reaction was allowed to return to room temperature, the reaction was continued,The disappearance of the reaction starting material was followed by TLC. After completion of the reaction, 60 ml of saturated ammonium chloride was added to quench the reaction, followed by extraction with ethyl acetate (200 ml). The ethyl acetate was collected, dried and concentrated to give Fluoro-4-bromobenzophenone (4) as a white solid (23.1 g) in 79.2percent yield.
