The obtained solids were washed with waterand ethyl acetate and then dried under reduced pressure, thereby obtaining 280 mg of 5-aminobenzo[b]thiophene-2-carboxylic acid (hereinafter, described as a "compound 61 of the present invention") 1H-NMR (DMSO-D6) delta: 7.82 (s, 1H), 7.63 (d, 1H, J = 8.8 Hz), 7.03 (d, 1H, J = 2.2 Hz), 6.86 (dd, 1H, J = 8.8, 2.2 Hz).
