Anhydroicaritin is extracted from Boswellia carterii Birdware and has significant biological and pharmacological effects, such as anti-osteoporosis, estrogen modulation, and anti-tumor properties. It improves the degradation of periodontal tissues and inhibits the synthesis and secretion of TNF-α and MMP-3 in diabetic rats. Additionally, β-Anhydroicaritin reduces the excessive production of NO, IL-10, TNF-α, MCP-1, and IL-6 in mice with peritonitis, suppresses the increase of intracellular Ca²⁺, and significantly decreases the expression of iNOS protein.
