BML-278 is a SIRT1 activator (EC150: 1 μM) that increases H3K9 methylation while inhibiting H3K9 acetylation in parental and maternal pronuclei, promoting early embryonic development. Additionally, BML-278 induces G1/S phase cell cycle arrest in primary human mesenchymal cells, reduces cellular senescence, and decreases tubulin acetylation in U937 cells. It also enhances mitochondrial density in mouse C2C12 myoblasts.
