Description
CMLD-2, which inhibits the HuR-ARE interaction, binds to the HuR protein competitively, disrupting its connection with mRNAs containing adenine-uridine rich elements (ARE) (Ki=350 nM). It promotes apoptosis and demonstrates antitumor effects across various cancer cell types, including those from colon, pancreatic, thyroid, and lung cancers. Hu antigen R (HuR), an RNA-binding protein, regulates the stability and translation of target mRNAs[1][2].
