Biological Activity

Description
cis-4-Hydroxy-L-proline, an analogue of proline, acts as a collagen production inhibitor. It is capable of inhibiting fibroblast growth by blocking the deposition of triple-helical collagen on the cellular layer. Additionally, it has been shown to suppress the growth of primary N-nitrosomethylurea-induced mammary tumors in rats[1].[2].[3].[4].
