Isosilybin A is a flavonolignan isolated from silymarin with anti-prostate cancer (PCA) activity. It inhibits cancer cell proliferation and induces G1 phase arrest and apoptosis by targeting the Akt-NF-κB-androgen receptor (AR) axis.
