Momordin Ic is a SUMO-specific protease 1 (SENP1) inhibitor and a SENP1/c-MYC signaling pathway inhibitor. Momordin Ic induces apoptosis by modulating mitochondrial dysfunction through oxidative stress of iNOS and HO-1 pathways mediated by MAPK and PI3K.
