Recombinant Mouse CD47 (C-Fc, HEK293) is a mouse-derived recombinant protein expressed in HEK293 human cells and tagged with C-Fc. Also known as integrin-associated protein (IAP) or OA3, it is a glycosylated atypical member of the immunoglobulin superfamily. Its extracellular domain contains an Ig-like domain that mediates interactions with platelet THBS1 and SIRP family receptors, playing roles in cell adhesion, immune regulation, synaptic plasticity, and erythrocyte survival. It can inhibit dendritic cell maturation and modulate T cell activation.

Biological Activity

Description
CD47, also known as Integrin‑Associated Protein (IAP) and OA3, is a glycosylated atypical member of the immunoglobulin superfamily. Mouse CD47 is an integral membrane protein that consists of a extracellular domain (ECD) with a single Ig‑like domain, five membrane-spanning regions with short intervening loops, and C‑terminal cytoplasmic tail. CD47 has a role in both cell adhesion by acting as an adhesion receptor for THBS1 on platelets, and in the modulation of integrins. It plays an important role in memory formation and synaptic plasticity in the hippocampus. As a receptor for SIRPA, it binding to which prevents maturation of immature dendritic cells and inhibits cytokine production by mature dendritic cells. Interaction with SIRPG mediates cellcell adhesion, it enhances superantigen-dependent T-cell-mediated proliferation and costimulates T-cell activation. It may play a role in membrane transport and/or integrin dependent signal transduction. It also prevents premature elimination of red blood cells.
Protein Species Mouse
Expression System Human Cells
Tag C-Fc
Protein Expression Interval Gln19-Pro158
Protein ID Q61735-2
Endotoxin < 1 EU/µg as determined by LAL test.
Characteristics Lyophilized powder
Formulation Description Lyophilized from a 0.2 μm filtered solution of PBS, pH 7.4.
Reconstitution Method Always centrifuge tubes before opening.Do not mix by vortex or pipetting. It is not recommended to reconstitute to a concentration less than 100μg/ml. Dissolve the lyophilized protein in distilled water. Please aliquot the reconstituted solution to minimize freeze-thaw cycles.
For long-term storage, it is recommended to further dilute the product with a solution containing carrier proteins (e.g., 0.1% BSA, 10% FBS, or 5% HSA). For serum-free cultures or in vivo animal experiments where BSA, FBS, or HSA cannot be present in the cytokine preparation, trehalose may be used as an alternative carrier. Aliquots should be stored frozen at -20°C to -80°C.
Note: Low-adsorption tubes are recommended for aliquot storage, and repeated freeze-thaw cycles should be avoided. The dilution concentration for aliquoting should not be lower than 10 μg/mL, and the aliquot volume should be no less than 10 μL.
Aliquoted protein remains stable for up to 3 months when stored at ≤ -20°C.
