Recombinant Mouse CD16 (C-6His, HEK293) is a mouse-derived recombinant protein expressed in HEK293 human cells and tagged with a C-terminal 6×His tag. This protein corresponds to the low-affinity immunoglobulin gamma Fc region receptor III (CD16), a member of the Ig superfamily featuring two extracellular Ig-like domains. It plays roles in antibody-dependent cellular cytotoxicity, phagocytosis, and immune response regulation, predominantly expressed on myeloid and lymphoid cells. CD16 transmits activation signals by interacting with the FcR gamma chain.

Synonyms: Recombinant Mouse CD16 (C-6His, HEK293)(Leu32-Thr215); Low affinity immunoglobulin gamma Fc region receptor III; Fcgr3

Biological Activity

Description
Low affinity immunoglobulin gamma Fc region receptor III (Fc gamma RIII/CD16) is a member of the Ig superfamily. Based on close relationships in their extracellular domains, the Fc gamma Rs have been divided into three classes composing of Fc gamma RI (CD64), Fc gamma RII (CD32), and Fc gamma RIII (CD16). Each group may be encoded by multiple genes and exist in different isoforms depending on species and cell type. Mouse CD16 is a type I transmembrane protein having two extracellular Ig-like domains consisting of immunoglobulin domain, repeat, signa and transmembrane, transmembrane helix. It is expressed on a variety of myeloid and lymphoid cells and associates with Fc R gamma to deliver an activating signal upon ligand binding. Fcgr3 is IgG binding and activation or inhibition of immune responses such as antibody-dependent cellular cytotoxicity, phagocytosis, cell surface receptor signaling pathway and positive regulation of type I/IIa/III hypersensitivity.

Characteristics Lyophilized powder
Formulation Description Lyophilized from a 0.2 μm filtered solution of PBS, pH 7.4.
Reconstitution Method Always centrifuge tubes before opening.Do not mix by vortex or pipetting. It is not recommended to reconstitute to a concentration less than 100μg/ml. Dissolve the lyophilized protein in distilled water. Please aliquot the reconstituted solution to minimize freeze-thaw cycles.
For long-term storage, it is recommended to further dilute the product with a solution containing carrier proteins (e.g., 0.1% BSA, 10% FBS, or 5% HSA). For serum-free cultures or in vivo animal experiments where BSA, FBS, or HSA cannot be present in the cytokine preparation, trehalose may be used as an alternative carrier. Aliquots should be stored frozen at -20°C to -80°C.
Note: Low-adsorption tubes are recommended for aliquot storage, and repeated freeze-thaw cycles should be avoided. The dilution concentration for aliquoting should not be lower than 10 μg/mL, and the aliquot volume should be no less than 10 μL.
Aliquoted protein remains stable for up to 3 months when stored at ≤ -20°C.
