Biotinylated Human CD147 (C-Avi-6His, HEK293) is a human-derived CD147 protein expressed in HEK293 cells, with a C-terminal Avi and 6His tag. Belonging to the immunoglobulin superfamily, this protein shares homology with the immunoglobulin V domain and MHC class II β chain. It is involved in spermatogenesis, embryo implantation, and neural network formation, induces MMP production and release in the tumor microenvironment, promotes tumor invasion, metastasis, and survival, and functions as an extracellular cyclophilin receptor in signal transduction. CD147 is highly expressed in various cancers.

Description
Basigin/CD147 is a member of the immunoglobulin superfamily with homology to both the immunoglobulin V domain and MHC class II antigen beta-chain. This protein play important roles in variety of events including spermatogenesis, embryo implantation, neural network formation. CD147 induces the production and release of matrix metalloproteinases (MMP) in the surrounding mesenchymal cells and tumor cells, and thereby promotes invasion, metastasis, growth and survival of malignant cells. Furthermore, CD147 also serves as a receptor for extracellular cyclophilinthe and its association with integrins might be important in signal transduction. CD147 displays increased expression in many cancers, and it has been previously demonstrated to participate in cancer metastasis and progression.

Formulation Description Lyophilized from a 0.2 μm filtered solution of PBS, pH 7.4.
Reconstitution Method Always centrifuge tubes before opening.Do not mix by vortex or pipetting. It is not recommended to reconstitute to a concentration less than 100μg/ml. Dissolve the lyophilized protein in distilled water. Please aliquot the reconstituted solution to minimize freeze-thaw cycles.
For long-term storage, it is recommended to further dilute the product with a solution containing carrier proteins (e.g., 0.1% BSA, 10% FBS, or 5% HSA). For serum-free cultures or in vivo animal experiments where BSA, FBS, or HSA cannot be present in the cytokine preparation, trehalose may be used as an alternative carrier. Aliquots should be stored frozen at -20°C to -80°C.
Note: Low-adsorption tubes are recommended for aliquot storage, and repeated freeze-thaw cycles should be avoided. The dilution concentration for aliquoting should not be lower than 10 μg/mL, and the aliquot volume should be no less than 10 μL.
Aliquoted protein remains stable for up to 3 months when stored at ≤ -20°C.
