P62-mediated mitophagy inducer (PMI) is a P62-mediated mitosis activator. PMI activates mitochondrial autophagy without recruiting Parkin or collapsing mitochondrial membrane potential and maintains activity in cells lacking a fully functional PINK1/Parkin pathway.
