Tenuifolin is a triterpene isolated from Polygala tenuifolia, exhibiting oral activity and neuroprotective effects. Tenuifolin reduces Aβ protein secretion by inhibiting β-secretase, inhibits apoptosis induced by Aβ25-35, caspase-3, and caspase-9 activation.
