YieldReaction ConditionsOperation in experiment
10.83 g With potassium hydroxide; at 5 - 60℃; for 168h;Inert atmosphere; Methanol (338mL) was cooled to 5C and potassium hydroxide (29.3g) was added portion wise over 15 minutes maintaining the temperature below 10C. This solution was added over 15 minutes to a solution of <strong>[160976-02-3]5-bromo-1,3-difluoro-2-iodo-benzene</strong> (CAS 160976-02-3, 15g) in methanol (9 mL) at 60C under nitrogen atmosphere. The mixture was heated at60C for 168 hours. The reaction was concentrated and partitioned between ethyl acetateand water. The aqueous phase was extracted with further ethyl acetate and the combined organic phases were washed with brine, dried over magnesium sulfate and concentrated to give 5-bromo-2-iodo-1,3-dimethoxy-benzene (10.83g) as a white solid.1H NMR (500 MHz, CDCI3) 6 ppm 6.65 (s, 2H), 3.88 (s, 6H)
