To the solution of 4-chloro-1, 3, 5-triazin-2-amine (5.7 g, 44.0 mmol) in MeOH (100 mL) cooled to 0 was added CH3ONa (35.2 mL, 176.1 mmol, 5.0 M) dropwise. Then the mixture was stirred at room temperature for 1h. Half of the solvent was removed by vacuum, and the precipitate was filtered, washed with water to afford 4-methoxy-1, 3, 5-triazin-2-amine as a white solid (1.0 g) . LC-MS: m/z 127.1 (M+H) +. |
