With (1,1'-bis(diphenylphosphino)ferrocene)palladium(II) dichloride; potassium acetate; In 1,4-dioxane; at 100.0℃; for 18h;Inert atmosphere; A reaction vessel containing a mixture of <strong>[1374655-69-2]3-bromo-4-ethyl-5-fluoropyridine</strong> (0.25 g, 0.0012 mol), 4,4,4*,4',5,5,5',5'-octamethyl-2,2'-bi(l,3,2-dioxaborolane) (0.96 g, 0.0036 mol), and potassium acetate (0.36 g, 0.0036 mol) in 1,4-dioxane (15 mL) was purged with argon for 10 min. Next [l,l-bis(diphenylphosphino)-ferrocene]dichloropalladium(II) (0.09 g, 0.00012 mol) was added and heated at 100 C for 18 h. The reaction mixture was cooled to room temperature filtered through a bed of CELITE and the bed was washed with ethyl acetate. The filtrate was concentrated under reduced pressure to afford the crude product 4-ethyl-3-fluoro-5-(4,4,5,5tetramethyl-l ,3,2-dioxaborolan-2-yl)pyridine. MS (M+l): 252.1.
