YieldReaction ConditionsOperation in experiment
70.9% 17.5 g (0.055 mol) of the compound represented by the formula 5-a, 7.9 g (0.120 mol) of zinc, 70 mL of ethanol and 262 mL of 20% sodium hydroxide obtained from the above reaction formula 35 were added to a 500 mL round bottom flask and the mixture was stirred for 1 hour 46.6 g (0.164 mol) of octyl p-toluene sulfonate was added and the mixture was stirred under reflux for 1 hour. The organic layer was separated using ethyl ether and water, concentrated under reduced pressure, and then subjected to column chromatography using hexane and acetone to obtain 21.2 g (70.9%) of the compound represented by the formula 5-b.
