With pyridine; In dichloromethane; at 0 - 20℃; for 2h; Example 5; Procedure H; 8-(2,2,2-Trifluoroacetyl)-8-aza-bicyclo[3.2.1]octan-3-one (5b); To a solution of <strong>[25602-68-0]nortropinone hydrochloride</strong> (10 g, 61.87 mmol) and pyridine (20 mL, 247 mmol) in CH2Cl2 (120 mL) was added dropwise trifluoroacetic anhydride (12.4 mL, 87.79 mmol) at 0° C. The reaction mixture was stirred at 0° C. for 1 h and at room temperature for an additional 1 h. A portion of 2N HCl (65 mL) was added to the mixture. The organic phase was washed with brine, dried (MgSO4), and concentrated. The crude compound 5b was used in the next reaction without further purification. MS m/z (MH+) 221.9; 1H NMR (CDCl3,) delta 1.78 (m, 1H), 1.90 (m, 1H), 2.19 (m, 2H), 2.49 (d, 2H), 2.72 (m, 2H), 4.71 (m, 1H), 4.99 (m, 1H).
