YieldReaction ConditionsOperation in experiment
0.1 g With potassium tert-butylate; In N,N-dimethyl-formamide; at 50℃; for 6h; To a solution of 1 (0.45 g, 1.6 mmol) in DMF (5 mL) was added benzyl 4- aminobenzoate (0.37 g, 1.6 mmol) and t-BuOK (1 M, 3.2 mL). Then the mixture was stirred at 50 C for 6 hours. The mixture was poured into 30 mL of H2O and extracted with ethyl acetate (40 mL × 3). The combined organic layer was washed with water (30 mL × 2) and saturated brine (30 mL × 2), dried over Na2SO4, and concentrated in vacuo. The residue was purified by column chromatography (SiO2, petroleum ether:ethyl acetate, 30:1 to 10:1) to give 2 (0.1 g, 10 % yield) as a yellow oil. LCMS: (ES+) m/z (M-55)+ = 383.9.
