YieldReaction ConditionsOperation in experiment
35% With ytterbium(III) triflate; In toluene; at 115℃; for 0.5h;Microwave irradiation; General procedure: A mixtureof aromatic 1,3-diazole 1 (0.2 mmol), cyclopropanes 2 (0.22 mmol),and Yb(OTf)3 (0.02 mmol) was dissolved in toluene (2 mL). Themixture was heated under microwave condition at 115 C for30 min. The resulting reaction mixture was cooled to room temperatureand the solvent was removed by reduced pressure distillation. The crude product was purified by silica gel chromatographywith 10e50% ethyl acetate in petroleum ether to afford the desiredproduct (3) or (4) as light yellow oil or solid
