General protocol for synthesis of Benzyl Lactams
General procedure: A solution of NaH (6.8 mg, 0.312 mmol, 1.5 eq.) in dry THF (10 mL) at 0oC, lactams (4-6) (0.205 mmol, 1 eq.) were added with stirring for 1 hour. The ice removed and keep stirring for 24 h at room temperature. The solvent removed under vacuum, followed by purification using flash chromatography to yield the products (7-9) as a pale yellow solid. |
