YieldReaction ConditionsOperation in experiment
With piperidine; In ethanol; at 55 - 60℃; for 6h; In a 100mL three-necked flask equipped with a magnetic stirrer, 1.0g (4mmol) bis-benzimidazolyl methane and 1.14g (4mmol) <strong>[54117-37-2]N-benzylcarbazol-3-aldehyde</strong> was added. 40mL of ethanol solvent was added and the mixture was heated to 55C. 2-3mL of piperidine was added. The temperature was controlled at about 60C. The reaction was refluxed for 6h. The reaction mixture was then cooled, added 150mL of water, and left to stand. The solvent was distilled under reduced pressure and washed with water to give 1.16g of 1,1-bis(benzoxazol-2-yl)-2-(N-benzylcarbazol-2-yl)ethylene as a pale yellow solid.
