40% With palladium diacetate; N-ethyl-N,N-diisopropylamine; p-benzoquinone; In acetonitrile; for 24h;Sealed tube; Inert atmosphere; Reflux; General procedure: In a sealed tube, but-3enoic acid derivative 1 (1 equiv) was dissolved in CH3CN (0.2 M), and subsequently Pd(OAc)2 (10 molpercent), nucleophile (2 equiv), DIPEA (6 molpercent) and BQ (2 equiv) were added to the mixture. Then the reaction was stirred at reflux for 16-24 hours and, after cooling to r.t., was hydrolyzed with a saturated aqueous K2CO3 solution and diluted with Et2O. The organic layer was extracted, dried over MgSO4, filtered and concentrated under reduced pressure. The crude product was purified by silica gel column chromatography (eluent: AcOEt/CycloHexane) to afford the aminated compound 2, 3, 4 or 6 depending on the nucleophile used.
