105a) I/1,1-Trifluoromethanesulfonic acid 3-methoxyquinoxalin~5-yl esterPhenyltrifluoromethanesulfonimide (43.2 g) and triethylamine(16.9 ml) were added to quinoxalinol (93e) (13.24 g) in drydichloromethane (125 ml) at room temperature and stirred at thistemperature for 16 hours. Then saturated sodium carbonatesolution (100 ml) was added and the mixture extracted withdichloromethane (5 x 100 ml). The combined organic extracts werewashed with water (4 x 50 ml), brine (150 ml) , dried over sodiumsulfate, filtered and evaporated. The crude product was purifiedby flash chromatography (silica gel, dichloromethane/n-heptane1:1 to 3:1) to give the desired product (20.2 g) .MS (El): m/z: 309 [M+H]+
