The dichloromethane layer was evaporated under reduced pressure to give a residual oil, which was purified by column chromatography (silica gel, CH2C12 to 3% [MEOH] in [CH2CK)] to give Intermediate 21 (1.4 g, 92%) as an off-white foam.
