YieldReaction ConditionsOperation in experiment
70% HEMI (3.103 g, 20 mmol), DCC (3.37 g, 17.6mmol) and 4-dimethylaminopyridine (DMAP)(0.2443 g, 2mmol)were dissolved in dry tetrahydrofuran (15 mL), and the solution was cooledin an ice bath for 30 min. Tetrahydrofuran solution (15 mL) of DSeDPA (3.0406 g, 10 mmol)was added dropwise to the previous solution, and stirring was continued for another 30 min.Themixture was brought to room temperature and stirred for 24 h. The precipitated by productwas filtered off and the solution was evaporated. Dichloromethane (25 mL) was added to the reaction mixture and the organic phase was washed with saturated NaHCO3. The combinedorganic layers were dried over anhydrous Na2CO3 and concentrated solution was purifiedby flash column chromatography on SiO2 (EtOAc: CH2Cl2 1: 1), 4 g of bismaleimidecrosslinker was obtained with 70percent yield. 1H NMR (600 MHz, CDCl3) delta 6.73 (s, 1H), 4.26 (t,4H), 3.80 (t, 4H), 3.04 (t, 4H), 2.77 (t, 4H). 13C NMR (CDCl3) delta 171.87, 170.51, 77.16, 61.83,36.87, 35.72, 22.96.
