YieldReaction ConditionsOperation in experiment
66% With tetrakis(triphenylphosphine) palladium(0); potassium carbonate; In toluene; at 120℃; for 24h; General procedure: A general procedure for preparation of compounds6a-b, 10a-e and 14a-b: under argon atmosphere, the mixture ofthe 3-bromocoumarin or 3,4-dibromocoumarin (1 equiv), phenylboronicacid (2 equiv for monosubstituted, 4 equiv for disubstituted),tetrakis-(triphenylphosphine)-palladium (4.5% by weightof bromide), potassium carbonate (2 equiv) in an oxygen-freetoluene solution was stirred at 120 C for 24 h. After cooling toroom temperature, the aqueous layer was diluted with 5% HClsolution and extracted with ethyl acetate. The combined organiclayers were washed with brine, dried over anhydrous Na2SO4 andthen filtered and concentrated in vacuum, and the residue waspurified by flash chromatography (0-20% ethyl acetate in petroleumether).
