With palladium bis[bis(diphenylphosphino)ferrocene] dichloride; sodium carbonate; In 1,4-dioxane; for 6h;Reflux; <strong>[927801-23-8]6-bromo-4-iodoquinoline</strong> 6 (212.37, 0.636 mmol) and 2-(Hydroxymethyl)pyridine-5-boronic acid 7 (150 mg, 0.636 mmol) was dissolved in anhydrous l,4-dioxane (15 mL). To this was added Pd(dppfhCl2 (19.9 mg, 0.024 mmol) followed by 2M Na2C03 (2.5 mL). The mixture was then heated at reflux for 6 hrs. After cooling to room temperature the solids were filtered off and evaporated. The crude product was purified by flash chromatography (EtOAc:MeOH) to give compound 8. LRMS-LC/MS (m/z): [M + H] + calcd for CisHiiBrN20, 314; found 315)
