YieldReaction ConditionsOperation in experiment
42% In ethanol; for 24h;Reflux; 5a (500 mg, 2.09 mmol), and 4a (662 mg, 2.51 mmol) wereadded to ethanol and the resulting heterogeneous solution wasreuxed for 24 h. The mixture was cooled to room temperature andltered through a pad of celite and the ltrate was concentratedunder reduced pressure. The residue was puried by ash chro-matography on silica-gel with 10% methanol in ethyl acetate.Yielding 42% compound 8a (442 mg) as a white solid. Compounds8b-f were synthesized following the procedure of preparation 8a.
