YieldReaction ConditionsOperation in experiment
59% With 4,4'-bipyridine; copper diacetate; sodium hydrogencarbonate; In N,N-dimethyl-formamide; at 100℃; for 24h; General procedure: To a dried tube (open to air) containing aryl boronic acid 1 (0.5mmol), TMTM (2a) (0.75 mmol), Cu(OAc)2 (0.7 equiv), bipyridine (0.7equiv) and NaHCO3 (0.5 equiv) was added DMF (3.0 mL), and the resultingmixture was stirred at 100 C for 24 h. After the reaction wascomplete, the mixture was quenched with saturated NH4Cl solution(3.0 mL), and the product was extracted with ethyl acetate. The combinedorganic layer was dried over anhydrous Na2SO4. After filteringof the organic phase, the solvent was removed under vacuum. Finally, flash column chromatography was performed to purify the crude residue(petroleum ether/ethyl acetate, 5:1).
