YieldReaction ConditionsOperation in experiment
With copper(l) iodide; iron; potassium carbonate; In dimethyl sulfoxide; at 95℃; for 16h;Inert atmosphere; General procedure: A mixture of diaryl sulfides or dimethyl sulfide (2 mmol, 1 equiv), aryl halide (1.2 equiv), CuI (1 mol%), Fe powder (0.6 equiv), K2CO3 (1 equiv), and DMSO (2 mL) were added to a round bottom flask equipped with a stirring bar under nitrogen. The reaction was heated for 16 h at 95 C. After being cooled to room temperature, the mixture was filtered and diluted with EtOAc and washed with sat. aqueous NaCl solution several (3 to 5) times. The organic phase was dried with anhydrous Na2SO4, filtered, and the solvent was removed under reduced pressure. The resulting residue was purified by flash column chromatography(ethyl acetate/n-hexane = 5/95).
