YieldReaction ConditionsOperation in experiment
36% H181 (0.667mmol) was dissolved in DMSO (lOmL). To this solution under nitrogen were added potassium carbonate (368mg, 2.67mmol, 4.0eq), a catalytic amount of Nal and 2-chloro-N-propylacetamide (360mg, 2.67mmol, 4.0eq). The reaction mixture was stirred for 15 hours at 90°C then treated with 1M HC1 (10ml). After extraction with ethyl acetate, the organic layer was washed with water and brine, and dried over anhydrous Na2S04. The residue after rotary evaporation was purified by column chromatography over silica gel and recrystallization to give the title compound (60mg, 36percent yield). 1H NMR (400 MHz, DMSO-d6): delta 9.15 (s, 1H), 8.06 (s, 1H), 7.32 (d, J = 8.1 Hz, 1H), 7.24 (d, J = 2.4 Hz, 1H), 7.09 (dd, J = 8.4 2.7 Hz, 1H), 4.92 (s, 2H), 4.63 (s, 2H), 3.09 (q, J = 6.6 Hz, 2H), 1.43 (m, J = 6.9 Hz, 2H) and 0.81 (t, J = 7.2 Hz, 3H) ppm. Mp 136-138°C
