84% With aluminum (III) chloride; In ethyl acetate; at 78℃; for 9h;Cooling with ice; Large scale; Take 5-bromo-2-chlorobenzyl bromide 140kg, (5)-3-phenoxy tetrahydrofuran 90kg, dissolved in 400kg ethyl acetate, stirring in an ice bath for 30min, add in batches anhydrous aluminum trichloride 70kg, continue stirring in an ice bath 30 minutes, then slowly warming to 78 C to continue the reaction 8h, after the end of the reaction, cooled to room temperature, adding ice water 300kg, dilute hydrochloric acid adjusted to pH to 2-3, filtered, the filtrate was separated, the organic layer was washed to neutral, anhydrous Sodium sulfate was dried, filtered, and the filtrate was decolored by adding 20 kg of activated carbon, refluxed for 3 h, and filtered while hot. 300 kg of petroleum ether was added to the filtrate, cooled to room temperature, and crystallized on an ice bath to obtain 152 kg of pale yellow solid with a yield of 84%.
