Example 1; Preparation of Compound 11To a solution of 2-phenylamino-thiazole-4-carboxylic acid (0.1 mmol), N1N - diisopropylethylamine (0.50 mmol, 87 μL) and HATU (0.10 mmol, 38 mg) in DMF (2 imL) was added 4-(2-aminophenyl)-piperazine-1 -carboxylic acid tert-butyl ester (0.10 mmol, 28 mg). The resulting reaction was heated to 80 C and allowed to stir at this temperature for 15 hours. The reaction was cooled to room temperature, then concentrated in vacuo. The resulting solid residue was treated with TFA (0.5 mL) and the resulting solution was allowed to stir at room temperature for 10 minutes, then concentrated in vacuo. The resulting residue was dissolved in DMSO/acetonitrile (3:1 ), purified using reverse phase HPLC to provide Compound 1.
