86.9% With sodium methylate; In toluene; at 20℃; for 9h; A solution of 0.12 g (0.50 mmol) of <strong>[132131-24-9]2-amino-5-iodobenzonitrile</strong> was dissolved in 2 mL of toluene, and the solution was added dropwise to the imine salt (2.5 mmol) prepared at room temperature. After stirring for 10 minutes, 0.09 g (1.74 mmol) of sodium methoxide.The mixture was stirred at room temperature for 9 hours. Toluene was distilled off under reduced pressure, 10 mL of water was added to the residue, the solution was adjusted to pH 3 with 2M aqueous sulfuric acid solution, and the mixture was stirred for 30 minutes, followed by extraction with 10 mL of dichloromethane.The aqueous phase was adjusted to pH 10 with 20% aqueous sodium hydroxide and extracted twice with 10 mL of dichloromethane each time. The organic phase was dried over anhydrous sodium sulfate and the dichloromethane was distilled off to give N '- (2-cyano- Iodophenyl) -N ', N'-dimethylformamidine in a yield of 86.9%.
