YieldReaction ConditionsOperation in experiment
To a solution of3-bromo-2,5-dimethylthiophene (1g, 5.23 mmol) in THF (5 mL) under N2 atmosphere at -78C. was added n-butyllithium (2.5 mL, 6.25 mmol, 2.5 M inhexane). After 30 min, a solution of anhydrous DMF (421mg, 5.76 mmol) in THF (2 mL) was added to the abovemixture and stirred for 20 min. After quenched with water (5mL), the aqueous solution was extracted with hexane (10mLx3). The combined organic phase was washed with brine(10 mL), dried over Na2S04 . After filtration and concentration,the resulting oil was used directly for the next stepwithout further purification. GC-MS: 140 (M+ ).
